Membranes

Membranes and Modules

The product line of different membrane filters includes a wide selection of membrane materials. The membrane materials available cover all the filtration spectrum range: Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration and Reverse Osmosis.

DeFraWater® selects membrane types and material taking into consideration the treatment and discharge requirements for industrial, municipal, commercial or drinking water purposes.

Our engineering team works with a wide range of membrane modules according to the application - sea water, leachate or industrial wastewater.

Our DeFraWater® membrane product portfolio includes standard spiral wound membranes customised with larger spacer, Disc Tube or Plate Tube membranes (similar to PF Module) and DFCT Module® (similar to ST Module and TS Module).

MICROFILTRATION - ULTRAFILTRATION - NANOFILTRATION - REVERSE OSMOSIS

DFCT Module® - Channel Tube®

The DFCT Module® is DeFraWater's latest product on the market using open channel technology.

The membrane module is a vertical mounted filter with an operating pressure up to 90 bars.

The module design offers many advantages over other conventional modules e.g. spiral, plate and frame and other similar designs.

The DeFraWater® Channel Tube® combines the advantages of robust open channel technology with much higher packing density.

This results in:

  • lower replacement costs
  • simpler system plumbing
  • and easier maintenance.

DFSW Module - Spiral Wound Membrane

Spiral membranes are used in a wide range of water treatment applications.

The feed flows through parallel channels over the length of the element. Clean water passes through the semi-permeable membrane. The permeate spacer allows the water to travel all the way to the permeate tube. The brine, remaining stream from feed less permeate, is the concentrate which flows out at the end of the membrane element.

The spiral-wound element offers a wide range of configurations with different membrane spacers and types of membrane material.

DeFraWater® offers a large variety of DFSW Membranes.

DFDT Module - Disc Tube

The module assembly consists of a stack of blue discs made of moulded ABS material.

The disc supports the octogonal membrane cushion and guides the flow over the membrane surface.

The long version of the DFDT Module can accommodate up to 209 membrane cushions with 210 discs within the same pressure vessel.

The DeFraWater® DFDT Module offers easy maintenance for the operator allowing individual inspection of the state of membrane surface.

The single cushion from the DFDT Module can be used for laboratory analysis and cleaning tests.
